The Natural Art of the Pick-up

David DeAngelo

David D, as he is mostly called, is a name you’ve probably heard of before. He’s the most visible “guru” in the dating advice for men community.

I like David, and feel he has made some tremendous impact in the scene. His “Double Your Dating” ebook is a great book for a beginner and one that I highly recommend (read more about that in my Top 10 Books For Men article). I read it years ago, and was able to apply a number of the techniques he describes in my dating life right away.

I also watched his advanced DVDs a number of years ago, and found them to be helpful also. Notice though that I don’t glow over David’s work, like I do Mystery’s. You see, David’s work is more mainstream, so that it can appeal to more guys (enabling him to sell more products and programs).

But, I don’t think his work provides the massive revelations that Mystery’s does. His programs though are very helpful, in particular, his online dating program (read more about that here: www.how-to-get-a-girlfriend.com/onlinedating.

Overall, if you’re looking for more concrete, tested technique and advice - you should not look for that from David. My programs & Mystery’s are the best for learning the specific, high-level techniques that you can apply TODAY. David D though is great for the broad brushstroke philosophical concepts, and some very basic techniques.

A great thing about David D is that he’s a normal guy, and - given the size of his business - he is able to rally others in the community around him. His seminars often attract a number of luminaries from a variety of differing businesses. His “Interviews With Dating Gurus” Series is a great monthly audio program that you can subscribe to when you grab his ebook. I had the privilege of appearing on this in February, 2005.

David has placed himself at the center of the scene, and he’s been a great help to many young guys looking to learn the basics, as well as to many of us pro’s trying to get the word out about what we’re doing.

So, even though I don’t glow, I’m still a fan of David D.
