The Chad Dinosaur Saga
Hey Chad, this is Stefan:
I was wondering if you could do me a favor. Could you write an article for me tomorrow? I would like to submit it to Stephen Nash for this week’s publication. Here are the details:
I want you to write about dinosaurs – everything you know about them – different types, your favorite one, descriptions – anything you like, as long as it’s about dinosaurs. I’m looking for something that’s about 400 to 500 words (that’s about 1 page in MS Word). Other than that, there are no restrictions on how you want to write it.
Can you do this? If not – that is 100% totally cool. I understand that this is a last minute request, so if you’re just too busy it’s ok.
Let me know if this is something you’re interested in doing or if you have any questions. If you want, you can even just include the article in text with your reply to this e-mail – I can forward it on to Stephen in proper format when I get it.

Dinosaurs were the dominant vertebrate animals of terrestrial ecosystems for over 160 million years, from the late Triassic period (about 230 million years ago) until the end of the Cretaceous period (65 million years ago), when most of them became extinct in the Cretaceous–Tertiary extinction event. The 10,000 living species of birds have been classified as dinosaurs. The term “dinosaur” was coined in 1842 by Sir Richard Owen and derives “terrible, powerful, wondrous”+”lizard”. It is sometimes used informally to describe other prehistoric reptiles, such as the pelycosaur Dimetrodon, the winged pterosaurs, and the aquatic ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs and mosasaurs, although none of these animals were dinosaurs. Through the first half of the 20th century, most of the scientific community believed dinosaurs to have been slow, unintelligent cold-blooded animals. Most research conducted since the 1970s, however, has supported the view that dinosaurs were active animals with elevated metabolisms and numerous adaptations for social interaction. The resulting transformation in the scientific understanding of dinosaurs has gradually filtered into popular consciousness. The 1861 discovery of the primitive bird Archaeopteryx first suggested a close relationship between dinosaurs and birds. Aside from the presence of fossilized feather impressions, Archaeopteryx was very similar to the contemporary small predatory dinosaur Compsognathus. Research has since identified theropod dinosaurs as the most likely direct ancestors of birds; most paleontologists today regard birds as the only surviving dinosaurs, and some suggest that dinosaurs and birds should be grouped into one biological class.[1] Aside from birds,
crocodilians are the only other close relatives of dinosaurs to have survived until the present day. Like dinosaurs and birds, crocodilians are members of Archosauria, a group of reptiles that first appeared in the very late Permian and came to predominate in the mid-Triassic. Since the first dinosaur fossils were recognized in the early nineteenth century, mounted dinosaur skeletons have become major attractions at museums around the world. Dinosaurs have become a part of world culture and remain consistently popular. They have been featured in best-selling books and films (notably Jurassic Park), and new discoveries are regularly covered by the media.

Part 3
Chad,
In a way it’s kind of funny, but I cant send Stephen the exact same text as Wikipedia. You copied and pasted this entire thing from here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur
I need you to actually write something new and creative, maybe an experience you had with studying dinosaurs in school? The museum? TV Shows? Movies? Can you try to make it more personal?
Consider the following questions when you’re writing:
What is your favorite dinosaur? Why? Did you like the movie “Jurasic Park” 1, 2, and 3? Why? Why do you think dinosaur’s brains are so small? Why do YOU think they went extinct? (Be as creative as possible) If you could create a Chinese dinosaur, what would it be called?
Try to add as much as you can and elaborate on these. If you’re not interested in doing this that’s cool, I totally understand. But I can’t use what you sent me because it’s copied directly from another site.
Let me know your thoughts buddy.
About Hydro: I am fairly confident that it’s not him doing the posting since it out of his character by a huge longshot. But we will probably have him on the show and find out soon whether that’s the case.
