Where….NYC? Plattsburg? Southern California? what are the demographics like in those areas? What’s the men to woman ratio.

Define “worth marrying”. According to an unrealistic internal mental model built by acquiring more knowledge at universities, and consequently more social power in general, thus rendering men less ‘necessary’ on a practical level, which in the past got romanticized into ‘he’s wonderful’??

As a man, I feel this innate sense that we men have not done a good enough job….I ask myself…where does this idea come from? Hmmmmmmm.

Ah. I think I know.

Women, are masters of imbuing guilt very subtley. Absolute masters. Now, WHY would they want to do this? A couple of possible reasons could be, they want to control men ( this is a known fact ), also, it could be an unconscious response to the hurt they feel by men having unrealistic physical expectations of them.

Also, about education. I happen to think it’s MEN who are smartening up to the uselessness of an education. My friends and I don’t romanticize or mince words….”my masters degree is useless, AND, I’m in debt because of it, while my friend makes more money as a welder or carpenter”…I think plenty of men know full well the uselessness of university degrees. Men, tend to be, in general, much more practical thinkers don’t you think?

I would agree if a woman was gainfully employed in her field of study and living a lifestyle that the men that are available to her cannot keep up with. In this scenario I can agree somewhat with the statement “not worth marrying”….but hold on, wasn’t it men who only a few years ago, carried the financial burden?
Is this what is meant by ‘worth marrying’. And also, who are these men who want to get married so badly…do they not notice the courts abusing men to death, do they not here about Paul McCartney and others being raked over the coals?

The Decline of Men certainly makes for a catchy title. But, I think it’s more a case of lateral movement.

You’ll also notice that it’s all guys in line for most anything that comes out at midnight, save a rare movie showing here and there. Maybe it’s a sign of how guys are much more motivated by stuff than women and how in the guy social circles you get more cred from getting the latest World of Warcraft expansion at midnight, or getting tickets for the first showing of Quantum of Solace than for being socially well adjusted and meeting women.
