Your Winner Is…

First of all, major thanks to everyone for posting their comments. 30 total is TREMENDOUS, and I’m really grateful for your time and effort here.

I love the overarching themes in these, in particular the ones that relate to giving value/attention to others. They imply a real selflessness, which is a massive skill in ones social life.

But, the winner is AndyC, who boils it down so nicely with:

“When in doubt, say yes” (my rephrasing his idea)

I love this one because it is both simple, and yet clearly evocative of the social principle of flexibility and being open.

It also helps one alter their own self-image. By saying yes, you get to experience new things/places/events etc while growing out of your comfort zone. There really is no way to lose by saying yes. You’ll also be more interesting to other people too - a huge benefit. Getting out of the house on a consistent basis is half the battle, and this attitude takes care of that.
